Who We Are
The First Touch Foundation is a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to youth soccer for children from underserved communities. We believe that every child—regardless of financial circumstance—deserves the opportunity to participate, compete, and grow through the game.
Founded by Jhony Gonzalez, the foundation was established on the principles of access, mentorship, and long-term community impact. With deep relationships across the soccer ecosystem—including coaches, former & current players, clubs, and community leaders—our leadership team is uniquely positioned to bridge gaps between talent and opportunity.
We are not simply an equipment-based charity. We are an access organization committed to removing barriers that prevent children from participating in organized sports.
Our Mission
To provide essential soccer equipment, mentorship, and community-based support to youth athletes ensuring that lack of resources is never the reason a child is unable to play.
Our Vision
First Touch Foundation is committed to creating access to the game of soccer. Through community programs, player development, and the creation of soccer spaces around the world, we are working to ensure every child has the opportunity to experience their first touch.
Why It Matters
Soccer is more than a game—it is structure, belonging, and opportunity. For many children, it is their first experience with teamwork, accountability, and goal-setting.
The first touch of the ball often represents more than a moment on the field. It represents possibility.
At First Touch Foundation, we exist to make that moment accessible to every child.
